Two reasons were listed in the letter of rejection...

• You have not demonstrated that you come within the exceptions under section 186 of the IRPR exempting you from the requirement to obtain a work permit or that your employment in Canada comes within the exceptions to section 203 of the IRPR. As a result, your offer of employment must be the subject of an economic effect determination before a work permit can be issued to you. Your employer in Canada should contact the local office of the Department of Employment and Social Development Canada to begin this process.

• You have not provided sufficient evidence to show that you meet the minimum education requirements as indicated by the employer on the electronic offer of employment.

- My employer provided me with a positive LMIA letter and I submitted it along with my application
- I have a high school diploma (translated from court translator to vocational school) which I uploaded as a proof that I meet the job requirements. I have also uploaded my employment records (Dated from 2016) I also provided a reference letter that is singed and sealed from the CEO of my employer that states that I work from 2013 there. ... The Canadian company said that minimum requirement is high school education which I have..

Why was my application refused?

What field are you in? The global talent stream usually involve highly educated people.

In the Visual Effects Industry - I think that shouldn't really be a problem since half a dozen of my colleagues have already immigrated in various cities in Canada with high school diplomas and 5+ years of experience.

Do you have any other ideas what else could it be?
