I got my TRV from the High commission last week for 7 months time,but this does not cover the total duration of my study program(stay) which is 12 months (including a 13 week work term). I submitted all the documents that I got from the university to the High Commission when I applied for the student Visa (including the work term letter,letter of acceptance, etc.). The study program is an Advanced Diploma at MUN,NL and starts on 5th of September 2017.
Could the CBSA refuse to offer me a study permit and entry to Canada,stating that, "The duration of the TRV does not meet the duration of the study program,the applicant might have submitted misleading information/documents to the High Commission" ? If so what should I do?

what does the letter that came with it say? Visa is just required for entry study permit is given at POE and they will ask for ur letter from college/university and give u study permit based on that.
The letter contains a basic introduction and some guide lines on the first page and on the second it has a with in box, "For officer use" section that says Type: Permit-SP/ Permis -PE,
Validity: 2018/03/31,
Must enter Canada by: 2018/03/31,
and the document number.
My passport is valid till 2026,
In the visa it says;
Date of issue;14/08/2017,
Expiry Date;31/03/2018,
Category; S-1 Student
and etc.
The university Letter of Acceptance has;
The DLI for MI,Memorial University,NL
Academic status; Full time,
Type of Program; Academic,
Internship/Work practicum; Yes, length 13 weeks and the field of work
Length of the program;Start date;2017/09/05,Completion date;2018/08/31 (Or minimum of 1 year of full-time studies.)
and etc.
Duration between Program End Date(2018/08/31) and Visa Expiry date(31/03/2018) is 21 weeks, therefore this can't be because "visa issued only for the study period",the visa ends a week before my second semester exams according to the University calendar.
