The following is my profile. Please enlighten me of my chances of being approved a study permit.
University of Toronto EE Fall 2012
O level 7 out of 7 As.
A level 1 A* and 2Bs.
IELTS score: 7.5
Father doctor in govt service.
Mother teacher at private school.
Bank statements of C$ 170 000.
Plenty of parents property as land, house worth around C$ 600 000.
No direct family members in Canada but a relative (my mother's uncle in Toronto) is my Co-sponsor.
And finally our family is a PR applicant, my father as a skilled worker.
Please assess my chances and let me know your opinion.
So how do I prove that to him. Isn't the property, family and dad being a govt office justify my point? What else can I provide to prove that I will be back if the PR is refused?
Damn.. can you loan me some money?
I think that as long as you've been accepted by a public college/university in Canada and have proof of funds you'll get the visa pretty easily.

Yes I have been accepted to University of Toronto EE Undergrad program. But I am worried about my dual intent, because my dad had applied for PR in 2007. I wonder if its a big negative point...

I see.. well, give it a try, if they suspect your intention they'll invite you for an interview where you can explain.
You can always say that YOUR FATHER applied for a PR and not you.

I hope they do call me for an interview if they have any queries. I can justify my point if I can talk one on one with the VO. I'm just worried, what if they review my file and without an interview send me a refusal letter. :'(
Hey guys, Im just wondering what happens if God forbid my visa is refused. Can I appeal or reapply for the same fall intake again? How many times can one apply for the same session?
