I have just got my results through the post and the results are as follows;

Listening 6.0
Reading 7.0
Writing 7.0
Speaking 8.5
Overall band score 7.0

I would you be grateful if anyone would be able to interpret the results for me. Am I now a competent reader, writer, speaker. What about listening (I got lost in the listening test).

Isn't 7.5 pretty high benchmark set by CHC ? 7.0 used to be before which I thought was a fair benchmark for rewarding full 4 points.

Scoring either 6 or 7 in the listening section will fetch equal 2 points. Between band 6 and band 7 there is a huge difference of competency lies in.

Thank you all for the answers. The listening test was horrendous. As the woman on the tape was speaking, I got lost looking for answers. But then I never was a good listener.
