My fiancee meeting my family in the states? ?

my fiancee hasn't met my parents yet and we are considering marrying soon. My parents have met him on the phone and know how I feel for him. It's been more important to establish us in Canada right now than for him to travel in the 2 years I have been visiting regularly. We are in our 40s and my parents in their 70s are not ones to travel on a limited budget. Will that effect us, If he doesn't come to the states by the time we file the paperwork. We can prove a beautiful relationship otherwise with me meeting his family & friends and my parents bless our union already. Would phone and Skype be acceptable? ? Thanks
