I'm applying for a temporary work visa and while there I plan to live with my boyfriend who will pay most of the bills. Do I still need to show that I can afford to support myself or can I state in my application that my boyfriend will be paying most of my bills when I move there and live with him. Well not all of them, more like he pay the rent and I pay utilities.
If you made mention of your boy friend, then the officer prcossing your TRV might think you do not intend to go back to your country Anyway if you are applying for a work visa, this means you already have an employer/LMO and your salary would be your source of income. You would have to attach a copy of your contract as proof of the projected income you'll be receiving.

Thanks. I haven't sent in the application yet as my job is doing the transfer paperwork still. I guess I won't mention my boyfriend then, but that I'll be staying with friends while I'm away.
