I'm about to being transferred to Canada to a big tech firm. I currently work at an affiliate of theirs in Europe. They told me that they'll use ICT (Intra Company Transfer). Reasons: Faster, Cheaper and no requirements at all. I'm an engineering college dropout, working in IT for 5yrs. They'll nominate me as a Specialized Knowledge Worker. I believe the company's lawyers will take care of the paperwork. I'm still worried about the degree. (They told me nothing to worry about) I found it nowhere that a degree would be a requirement at all. It is not a requirement for the US L1B (which is the same) either. Anyone has experience with it?

The lack of a degree isn't necessarily a problem for the ICT. A degree isn't mandatory.
However I would disagree that there are "no requirements at all". The company still has to prove that you meet the specialized worker requirements. Applying isn't by any means a slam dunk to be approved.
Be prepared for a wait of a number of months after they apply.
Yes, the company is the one that should be taking care of the paperwork.
If you have plans to apply to become a permanent resident of Canada, the lack of a degree could at that point become a problem depending on which stream you plan to apply for. Certainly the lack of a degree will limit your options from that perspective. However you may have no plans to do this.

As this individual found out in this posting , a ICT isn’t a “ slam dunk “.
You should assume each one is approved or denied on its own merits, and don’t start packing your bags until it’s approved
hey guys, thx for the answers! yep, i'm aware that they need to prove that i have "specialized knowledge". i believe such a huge corp have done it many times, hopefully they'll be able to do it again, and prepare enough evidence.
