Hi, I'm coming to Canada (Toronto, Ontario) for IEC in October. I would really want to move to Canada permanently so I will at least try to stay after this year. I have bachelor in nursing and masters in public health in Poland plus one year experiance as a registered nurse also in Poland. I doubt that I can get a PR just through Express Entry without a job offer, probably not enough points (or maybe not?), and I won't be able to get one because you need to already have a PR just to register in The College of Nurses of Ontario. I found out though that Ontario nominee program has got a demand for "nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates" (noc 3413) and I found quite a few job offers in that category so maybe I will be able to get a PR through OINP and then be able to register to College of Nurses? What are your opinions, any suggestions? What should I do to not waste this year? Are there any Internationally Educated Nurses who would like to share their stories? I would really love to hear from you! Thanks!
When you applied for your IEC did you also do a medical given you would need to have passed a medical to be able use the IEC permit to work anywhere in the health field even if not nursing.
Appreciate it. Unfortunately it seems like a close to impossible task from what I've read in a thread that you've sent, as NNAS keep finding as "non comparable" nurses with way bigger credentials and experiance than me. Thank you very much though!
