Moving to Canada with U-Haul and an American spouse

I'm a Canadian (dual with the US) moving back to Canada from the US with our household belongings. My wife is American and have been married for 26 years. We plan on crossing the border with a 20 ft U-Haul truck. All items will be listed on an inventory using the BSF-186 form I downloaded. The concern I have is how will they view my wife who is not a Canadian PR. We plan on residency being seasonal with us having two houses - one in the US and the other in Canada. Do I cross on my own with the truck and then my wife who follows or do we cross together?
