Hello, I am planning to move from Toronto to Vancouver; and I need some advice before I take a step.
I first landed in Toronto as a student, I studied and worked in Toronto. I am in IT field, and I think Vancouver has many great opportunities for me to grow in my field, and they recently announced a new "Tech Pilot Provincial Nominee Program". This program is for 32 professions only, and mine is one of those. PR processing time is faster and it's easier. I personally think that It'll be more easier and faster for me to get PR in BC than in Ontario. So I've decided to move there, find a job there and apply for PR after.
Do you think this will be a right move? What are some of the complications I can get myself into. Will it be difficult for me to get PR if I move from one province to another? I'll really appreciate if someone can give me some advice on this.
If it is EE stream, you need to qualify for EE (that is 67 points, education, language and 1 year of job experience).
And so far I know BC was salary based (the higher your salary the higher chance to get nominated). Also check the list of 32 specialisations. You need to have job offer for one of those in order to qualify.
Good luck.

I am not in Canada, but work in IT field. Based on my research Toronto has best opportunities for IT and it is fast emerging as IT hub. I have seen it rank among one of top ten IT city in north America and it is the only city from Canada. Rest are US cities. Vancouver is a beautiful place, but not great for IT I presume. Wages are lower than Toronto, but housing is expensive I think.
I feel you should stick to Toronto. I have seen people regretting for trying to settle in Vancouver (not near Toronto) when they move to Canada due to lack of opportunities.
I'll suggest you one simplest check to numerically prove why Toronto area is better. Go to indeed.ca and search for your skill set in search box. Check how many jobs get listed for Toronto/Ontario and how many for Vancouver/B.C.. You will be able to see magnitude of difference for yourself!
Don't know about job opportunities but :
Vancouver - weather is much better (moderate), also very cosmopolitan, but more expensive to live, threat of earthquake (the big one).
Toronto - hot is summer cold in winter (generally sucks), very cosmopolitan, less expensive than Vancouver to live, probably has more jobs, No earthquakes but some other natural disasters like ice storms etc.
If you can find a good enough job, Vancouver is a better choice in my opinion. Good luck
