Moving from Montreal to Toronto - residency time?

Hi.

I've been living in Montreal, QC, for nearly four years, on a worker's visa and without becoming a permanent resident. Now I'm planing to move to Toronto, Ontario, where I would like to become a permanent resident. Do I need to start counting time again, or the four years in Montreal counts for the purpose of permanent residency in Canada?

It only counts from the time you become a PR.
