Hi,
So I lived in Quebec for couple of years and received Child benefit payments from Quebec government.
Now since I moved to a different province before Dec 31, while filing taxes, I need to file for the New Province and not for Quebec correct ?
But what to do about the Child benefits I received from Quebec till I moved ?
Please can someone help me on the same.
Thank you

You need to call T1 General income tax line and give them the date you moved provinces . Not an estimated date , but the actual date .
System will recalculate from that date
On your income tax return you put the province you resided on 20231231

As mentioned by Revenu Quebec, if I have received family allowance or tax credit for child care, I have to file Quebec taxes.
Can I inform them upfront to stop the payments due to the planned movement, so that I don't have to file the taxes at the end of the year?
