Mother in law wants to be business partners

Hi there

So I have a question. We have the PR package almost ready to send -maybe next week and Im very excited!

I was talking to my mother in law who wants to enter the tourism business as a travel agent. She loves Colombia and she wants me to be partners on that business. She was listing the benefits of the business and she mentioned that we could get a visitor visa for me once the business is established and me being an investor -partner should be no problem. She wants me to get in a training program in Canada but later on Ill be working from here.

What do you think? Would that work? I dont want to hurt her feelings. She is really nice to me, but I think the VO will see that as me trying to get to the country and not to work. I dont want to wait any longer to submit the PR app so I want to show her facts on the topic so she doesnt think Im mean or that I dont care.

What would you say? Would that work?

Send in the PR application as soon as possible. You can still try the partnership with your mother-in-law while you are waiting for the PR app to be processed.

going into buisness with family is very risky and not for the faint of heart. Just be up front and explain its too stressful at this time but maybe in the future
