Is anyone else also awaiting PR card pick up in Montreal?
I am not sure if they have an unusual delay or perhaps there is an issue with my case.
I applied to renew my card, which was approved at the end of March. The Montreal office received the card on April 1st, and I still have not received a pick up letter... it's been 6 weeks!
Anyone knows how I could expedite the process? I need to travel soon, and the Montreal office still has not sent the pr pick up letter -they received the card over 7 weeks ago and nothing is happening
thanks,
Unfortunately, you can't contact the Montreal office directly

.
CIC's only (and pretty useless, IMO) advice is to contact the (pretty useless, IMO) call centre, or make a case specific enquiry:
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?_ga=1.92127518.502427265.1431617999
If I were you, I'd do the latter, enclosing proof of travel plans, mentioning the office has had the card for 7 weeks, etc.
My last experience with the Mtl office was not at all good, I'm afraid

I'm sorry I can't be of more help.
I'm from Montreal and they sent it to me by mail.
I have no idea, whoever is in charge of sending it. I didn't keep the envelope.
Yeah that's a different situation.
I just don't understand why I have to wait so long to get my card...the application was processed and card printed in less time. Montreal office has been sitting on my card for 9 weeks now!
Just out of curiosity, have you gotten your PR Card lost or stolen?
I got mine (a recent renewal) mailed to me from the CPC. When I checked into e-CAS, it says "Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at a CIC office." and I was wondering if that would apply to those who had lost or stolen cards.
