Money in Fixed Deposit in Spouse's name.

All of the money we'll be showing for proof of funds is in Fixed Deposits in my accompanying spouse's name (I am the primary applicant). IS having money in Fixed Deposits ok?

We intend to add my name to the Fixed Deposit accounts to prove I have access to the funds. Will that be ok?

The website says
"If your spouse is coming with you, you can count money you have together in a joint account. You may be able to count money in an account under their name only, but you must prove you have access to the money."
