Mistake made in application!!

I made a mistake in the form IMM2194 in which I wrote the wrong DLI# of my university. The wrong DLI# doest not belong to any institution. Any suggestion what should I do? Will I be rejected?

depends. VO may ignore it or reject it, depends on VO

Don't worry because the DLI's are still not familiar with Visa Officers, lets pray and hope for the best. I am sure it won't create a problem because there is a column to specify the name of the College , so even if there is an error they can correct . From your offer letter also they can confirm the same in case there is any confusion. Just remain positive . If possible ask the VFS guys if there is any way you can do something about it ,maybe they can help you on this if the file has not yet reached the CHC .

no this is the worst possible way to delay your application.

just wait for your visa, if they reject then you will need to apply again. you cannot update because you applied paper-based at VAC and now anything you do will cause more confusion. just wait.

The best way forward will be to go to VFS Office and ask . In case you submit a new error free form then , attach the copy of the old form also along with a copy of all other documents so that there is no problem with a letter stating the error from your part . I am not sure if that is possible to done , but if you can do it then it can solve all the issues.

Mistakes happen from all of us so there is nothing wrong in writing an apology letter , but make sure that you don't delay things as VFS acts very fast and time is running out .

i don't agree :. plus, if they need to reject on basis of wrong DLI, they do it fast.

THere is no harm in asking VFS people if there is some way by which we can rectify the error. I am not saying he must go and submit it but atleast check if there is a way out there .

yup, asking is okay but vfs doesn't know about how embassy works. they just submit the application on your behalf.

if you really wanna ask then do case specific inquiry with CIC. i doubt vfs will be helpful, but you can try if u want to.

The reason why I said is this because VFS guys have tracking code to the documents of the applicant so sometimes they can do something from their Delhi Office like Email forwarding or something like that . I am not sure but I am just saying a plan .Lets hope that there is a way out there.

Thanks for your kind help. Will confirm with the vfs by visiting their office tomorrow. Can't believe I made such a stupid mistake after all the hard work to jeopardize my chances for visa. Oh God! Please help me.
