Hello,

My Wife who is in India, just received her PR Visa and CPR Documents.

On the passport her name has been spell right but on the CPR page where it says GIVEN NAME, there is mistake in the name.

What do you guys think we should do regarding this>

I was thinking about sending a letter with Copy of CPR documents making them realize the mistake they have conducted on it. Should we send passport along with it? or should we wait for their reply?

Thank You

You should inform the visa office immidiately before trying to land they will give you further instructions.

I have received mix response from my friends and relatives regarding this matter.

They are telling me that its not a big concern and I should go ahead and tell my wife to come to Canada and we can change that mistake after she arrives here.

The only mistake is in given name: EXAMPLE: Rao Kaplna Niles in which ("H") is missing at the end of given name.

PLease give me proper suggestions and if someone had similar experience share with me..

Thank You

contact the visa office...it's your safest thing to do!

I would contact the visa office but I've also been told when you land in Canada they ask you if there are any mistakes and to correct them if there are. I believe since her name is correct on the passport they will make the correction so her PR card is right.

Sounds like you have already decided what you are going to do.
