Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I recently received my stamped visa for entry into Canada, and I've encountered an issue with the printed name on the visa. I have an extremely long surname, and as a result, three characters are missing from my full name on the visa. My surname is 25 characters long and My first name is 10 characters long and last three characters in my first name is missing.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation or can provide insights on the appropriate steps to take? I would greatly appreciate any information or suggestions regarding this issue. Are there any specific documents or procedures that might be required in such cases?

Truncated last name is fine. Many similar past cases here on the forum that had no issues.

This is all normal because there are character limits for the visas and PR cards. IRCC's limit is 35 characters for the full name, including spaces (I assume because of the machine-readable format restrictions). You're not going to get them to reprint your visa with your full name.
