Missed citizenship test

Hi, my wife applied for citizenship on 10-Dec-2020. She got test invitation on 6-Dec-2021, but the email went to spam folder and she saw it today. Test end date was 26-Dec-2021. Since she missed the test and didn't inform IRCC, would her application be cancelled? What are the next steps? New application?

If you’re not available on the day of your appointment, send us a message to explain why and get a new date. If you don’t give an explanation or your explanation isn’t reasonable, we may stop processing your application and not grant you citizenship. You can either:

• email or write to the local office that sent you the notice or
• use the online web form

Generally, once we receive your e-mail or letter, we’ll schedule your appointment on a different date. We’ll let you know by email if you gave us your email address or mail you a letter if we don’t have your email address.

All you can do right now is to send them a webform explaining your situation and wait for their response. I would suggest to check the new tracker from now and then. It's updated for each step before you receive an email for that step. It would give you an idea what and when to expect something.
