I don’t think it’s as straight forward as it’s seems, or I’m reading it wrongly. Both parents being outside is becoming a challenge. Is my understanding right?

Will partially dependent on how long you WPs are valid and Tier/NOC. Rules are changing in the next few days.

Can you kindly throw some more light on this? My work permit is valid until 2027, however due to passport expiry it is ending by close of this year. What is your NOC/Tier?
You don’t need PAL for your child. You can indicate they will attend the local public school.

You need to apply this weekend because your child may not longer qualify after the 21st.
Why? Does this come under SDS category? However, what I know, I have read so far, is that Open work permit for spouse cannot be extended, but for minor childern study permit is still there. SDS no longer exists and was for post secondary only. Apply for study permit as minor.Why? Does this come under SDS category? All family members will be affected by new rules. The whole goal is to reduce pressure on infrastructure and lessen the number of temporary residents.
Is the Letter of Acceptance from school mandatory to apply for the Minor Study Permit?
I spoke to the school people in my catchment area, they say until the child is enrolled you can never get the letter of acceptance. They seem to be hearing it for the first time. Now, Its like a chicken & egg story....
