Hi I am applying for my 9 month old son. My wife is a Canadian citizen and I have a Canadian visa.
My question is pretty straightforward but I haven’t managed to find a clear answer in this forum.
when applying in IRCC portal , in the second page it asks about representative. Do I say no and fill on my sons behalf or do I say yes and family in which case I have to submit IMM 5476 form ? Please help.

Was your wife a Canadian citizen at birth who was born abroad?

you need to fill representation form and leave sign blank and add a comment here (CHILD cannot sign). This is what I did when I applied visitor visa for my family,

Yeah she was born and raised there and came here for higher studies and has been here ever since on OCI.

Say yes if you want to be his representative, so that you can deal with IRCC on behalf of your son afterwards.
@albloshi_sa was correct, while
@canuck78 was slightly off-topic.

Important to verify that the child qualifies for citizenship.

What if one parent doesn't want the child to get the citizenship yet?
