A friend of mine is a permanent resident of Canada. His daughter, now 17, (also a PR) landed with him and then left Canada alone to return to her home country to finish school. The father sent his daughter's PR card to her in her home country. She wants to return to Canada now. Will she run into problems with CIC trying to re-enter Canada? She'd be re-entering Canada alone.
The father mailed the PR card to her earlier. The problem I am referring to is if CIC will not permit entry to his 17-year-old daughter since she is alone (her father is already in Canada). Wouldn't this be an issue?
