Minimum working experience required for applying PR

Hi friends.....

I am working in Canada since 1.5 years as a software professional. Is it necessary that I need to complete 2 years before I could apply for PR or shall I apply right now. Kindly clarify.

For CEC then yes, the requirement is two years. If you are applying in the FSW program, all you need is your HRSDC approved offer letter from your employer ("arranged employment") and you can apply at any point in time. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp for the FSW requirements.

In addition, there may be provincial nomination programs that allow you to apply immediately, depending upon your job category (for example, BC has preferences for software professionals that can lead to PR in less than a year.)

thanks for ur detailed reply.
My question is....can I submit the PR application now itself and should I wait for another 6 months from now to submit my application.

I think I could apply only under CEC program if am not wrong.

As I understand it, you cannot apply until you qualify.
