I have been accepted to a PhD with a full tuition waiver and scholarship of (in total) 72,000 CAD for 4 years,
and my toddler and spouse will be accompanying me,
17,000 for all three of us for a year
would make 68,000 for four years,
so would the acceptance letter stating the scholarship amount and full tuition waiver
be enough as proof of minimum funding? could someone please confirm this? (Of course no one completes a PhD in 4 years, but I guess that is not relevant here?)
The proof of funds that you need to show takes into account living expenses for 1 year. I had the same situation as yours and showed 22k in funds, plus assets back home, including property. My husband sponsored my tuition so got a notarized letter him stating the same.
Would you happen to know if the acceptance letter by the university will be enough as documentation regarding university funding? (I will also be providing further PoF like pension savings)
We hopefully will be living in campus housing and are on a waitlist. I am aware rents are ultra-high.
(btw I am also wondering if I can find anyone who has sucessfully applied for both a student permit and PR-it would be great if I could confirm that it wouldn't be a problem)
