My PGWP is good till next year Feb. Due to the delay in CEC and the delay in processing w/p, may I get some advice from you?
1) I am thinking of applying it by the end of Aug, which will gives me some buffer even if the w/p is rejected after 4 months (end of Dec). Is this too early? Is there a guideline in terms of when you should apply for a w/p?
2) My common law partner is a PHD student. I am planning to submit the following: his study permit, his enrolment letter, statutory declaration of common law, my employment letter (level A work), and the evidence of common law (similar to what I submitted for CEC). Are there enough? Is there anything else I should be considering?
1) To be eligible for a bridging open work permit, you must:
Currently be in Canada;
Have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within 4 months;
Have received confirmation from CIC that your permanent resident application is eligible under one of the four economic classes (FSWP, CEC, PNP and FSTP), and;
Have made an application for an open work permit.
Thank you for your help but I am not asking about bridging open w/p.
