Hi guys, Our application was sent to Mexico city. I have no idea as to why. My husband is from Guyana and Im a Canadian. What is the waiting period in Mexico to get a PR? Everything has been done, including the medical and results for my husband and my stepchild. Its been two months now for an update on our status.

Mexico is one of the slowest. Be prepared to wait the full 12 months

Hi,
A number of countries are assigned to local visa offices to finish processing our applications. Guyana is one of the Caribbean islands assigned to Mexico. My husband is in Dominican Republic and our application has been sent there as well. Apparently, Mexico is a slow office. So anticipate a 12 month wait, however, nothing is written in stone. So keep the faith and maintain patience. Good luck!

Brazil too!
I am 38 days from the 12-month mark, so yeah... be ready to wait!
I'm still ripping my hair out over them sending my Brazilian wife's application to Mexico City rather than to Sao Paulo.

Yeah, this sucks...
Just got two updates here: pre arrival services yesterday and DM on eCAS today. I am 22 days now from the 12-month mark and waiting for PPR

Im 21 days from the mark of the year and nothing this makes me so sad :(

Hi guys, we are 26 days away until we reached a year from the time they started to process our application. We still have not heard anything. The medical will be expired in two weeks. Do they have to do the medical over?

I just hit the one year mark today. I was also disappointed...when I search where Ecuadorian applicants go it said Bogota Columbia...but instead ours got sent to Mexico. Knowing that if it had of went to Bogota we would probably be together right now sucks...I don't know how long Mexico takes but it says ours started processing October 23, 2019. Since I hit the 1 year mark today...I applied for the notes of the visa officer and contacted my MP in Canada. Gckey says processing background check for 8 months with no updates since March 2019.
