I'm waiting to hear back from the MPNP before i can apply to CIC but I read somewhere that you can get your medical done before hand and submit it with my CIC application.
Just woundering is that true and has anyone else done it?
Am not so sure you can do that. You can only do it when you've got AOR.not when you're sending your application to cic, because each of the required document would be checked.Don't also forget that the clinic would not give you the medical result, you will only be given receipt kind of which would only show your name and UMI.
That is not true. Many applicants who did upfront MR are still waiting for PR to this day over 20 months. I would suggest to wait for CIC to issue MR because MR is only valid for 1 year and for sure CIC will issue PPR before your MR expires.
Upfront MR will expire midway and you will have to do MR again. CIC is unpredictable with their processing time. Right now is 18 months processing if you didn't apply under EE.

This is the case if they applied from Canada. I can tel you only what I have seen. If you sent the medical with your paper application, when they send you AOR the medical will change to passed. Anyway, in the worst case you might be required to do medical twice.

Another thing to note is that, your MR comes with a IME number which allows CIC to attach which MR to which applicants. Your CIC panel doctors will ask what is your IME number before booking appointments regardless whether you applied inland or outland and some will not do your medical without IME number. But its your decision because CIC is really unpredictable with their processing these days.
