Hi

I am British and we finally found out yesterday that my Canadian boyfriend has been approved to sponsor me, and my file is on its way to London.

My question is, when will I hear anything back about the medical I had? Is it that I haven’t heard anything because they haven’t started looking at my documents yet? I had the medical in Canada back in May, and the doctor’s office there told me the results would be submitted online within a few days. I’m not worried, just wondering what the normal process is? We have already had a couple of weeks delay thanks to the CRA….I just want to get there already!

Thanks

Application received: May 27th (Mississauga)
Reissue of document requested: 10th July
Sponsor approved: 10th September
:)

The normal process is that you won't hear anything about your medical results and CIC will just continue processing your file.

You would only hear something if there is a problem with your medical and they want you to re-do a test or do additional tests.

Great, thank you.

This is correct, However depending on the panel physician the results may still be sent to the individual, My wife actually received all her medical results from the doctor by email and of course along with the e-medical receipt.

Interestingly when I checked online today it says they have been received, but a confirmation of the results would be nice.

Thanks!
