generally, there will be months of silence until the visa office contacts the applicant for either their passport or additional information. there's nothing to do now than to wait it out. and it's certainly not recommended to check your status regularly. for most visa offices, that only leads to frustration and disappointment. it needs to be expected that the applicant will not hear anything for months. you can always follow the forum thread specific to your visa office so you can get a good idea of when applicants who applied the same time as you start hearing from the visa office. so go enjoy the rest of the summer, put it in the back of your mind, relax, and eventually you will hear something.
I have got AOR from New Delhi High commission of Canada on Aug 04 though. Asking if I was a national of Afganistan ( a country I never Visited or lived in ) & also asked to submit Receipt of permanent residence fee + New PCC.

that is probably just a standard letter they send all applicants, and since i am not familiar with how your visa office works, i can't say what that actually means. does it mean they can be working on the file? sure. can that mean that is just standard for all applicants to get at the beginning of the process? yep.
again, all you can do is respond to the requests of your visa office, relax, and wait for more details to come from your visa office.
