Hey everyone, I already received my AIP last month, and today I just received a medical request. Generally speaking, is a medical request a positive sign for visa approval?
I'm considering withdrawing my application since my college only allows full refund until the 21st of September so any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I'm thinking this is a good update and it seems likely that they're preparing for stage 2 approvals?
Timeline below:
Application Submitted: June 5 (Non-SDS)
Biometrics: Done previously for tourist visa
AIP Received in GCKey: August 15
Medical Request: September 17
Country: Philippines
Thanks, my program only has September intake and I don't think I'd like to wait another year. I'm considering studying in the UK instead, they're open to international students too.

I haven’t found any similar forum like here but I mostly just googled about post grad visa. I think since they’re just re-introducing the graduate scheme, you wouldn’t find a lot of conversations about it. But basically, if you complete a degree by summer 2021 (undergraduate or postgraduate, which can’t be a diploma or certificate), you’ll be eligible for 2 year graduate work visa and 3 years for phd candidates.
