My online status says medical passed on 28th July after medical request. What are the chances of visa rejection after medical passed on the grounds of documents? When should I expect decision?

It's low to get a refusal after being asked for medical, but it happens. Decision depends on background checks and processing time in the country you applied. I have been waiting for more than a month after the medical passed. good luck

Have you applied with upfront medical or medical asked by cic later? If cic asked you after you applied, it is not guaranteed but almost sure, you will get the visa.

I was asked for medical by cic. Rivalkiran are you also from Nepal? In how many days did you get visa after you submitted medical ?

After one and half week, the status is changed at mycic and passport is at transit on vfs tracking. Almost 6 weeks went after i applied. Yes, I am also from Nepal. Which uni are you applying?

I am applying to Memorial University for MBA program. Ok now being hopeful. I guess background checks are for security purpose. Do they call anybody to check reference for eg like bank employer ?

Unless you lied in your application, had a criminal history or overstayed in any countries, your chances of approval are very good. Unless your application was submitted to the Nigerian visa office, alot of weird rejection cases...

Applied from Nepal on June 15 paper based

I applied on 21st July from New Delhi , paper based with medicals upfront.
Linked the application today and it shows Medical passed.
Any idea, by what date can I expect the Visa?

Hello Pals,
I applied for a Canadian study permit on June 2nd through the online mode. I am a Pakistani citizen dwelling in Kuwait city, I got a request by CIC to undergo a medical exam by one of their prescribed physician which I did complete on 24th of July. I am waiting for the test of the medical and have been told by the doctor that I can expect the report by Thursday (August 4th, 2016). I was curious about how the likelihood and remaining of the process. Provided if I clear medical soon and pass it; what can I expect. I didn't do an upfront medical exam upon application and was requested by the CIC after month and a half.
