Medical for visa inland visitor visa extension

Hello All,

Would highly appreciate your advise on below:

I applied for an extension of stay for my mom who's here on visitor visa here due to covid and now she is flying back on 6 Sep.

I got approval letter for extension today from CIC and they have asked to do a medical in next 30 days.

Can someone advise do I still need to get her medical done even though she is flying back on in next 8-9 days.

Yes she needs to do a medical if she stayed past the expiry date of her stay and has benefited from implied status.
