I am from the designated country/territory for which Canada requires a visa. However, I have been living in the US for the last 2 years and am going to apply for a study permit and enter Canada from here too.

Since my home country is on the list for which Canada requires a medical exam, am I required to take the exam or not?

Thank you!

No. You need to actually have lived in designated country for more than 6 months in the last year, do the application questionnaire it will tell you what you need.

You will most likely get refused for visa since you not applying from your home country.

Hi everyone! I'm literally lost in my current situation about my study permit which I applied for in February and did my medicals in mid April, the clinic said my results have been forwarded to ircc and I've received my results as well but I don't know how or wherr to submit the imm1017e form, but since April it says "we have nit received your medical results" on my application portal, I have called ircc and they said my study permit is being processed in Nairobi, hence I forwarded them my results as well but still nothing, I'm supposed to start my my classes this fall, late August to be precise but I'm really concerned about not getting my study permit by July ( the school requires my permit by July) and yes I'm in Canada already, I really don't know who to ask anymore, some help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you do the exam after IRCC asked you to do it? You don't need to submit anything, results are submitted electronicaly by the clinic, form imm1017e is sent to you by IRCC to take to clinic when you do your exam, you dont need to submit it.
If you did the exam without being asked you should have submitted the results with your application.

Yes I was asked to take the medical examinations by the ircc, I'm just a bit bothered and wondering if I did something wrong or I missed something cause my status hasn't been updated since April though I've taken into consideration the current situation of the pandemic and all

Hi everyone! I was wondering, if I'm unable to get my study permit before I am supposed to resume due to the coronavirus and reduced staff at cic, do I write an email to the school explaining to them how the pandemic has slowed down the processing time or do I not attend the semester?
