Medical exams before or after applying?

Hi,
So my father is sponsoring me through the Family Class Sponsorship category Other Relative because he is a lonely Canadian. I am in Canada right now and I was wondering if I should take the medical exams before or after submitting my application. Information in the Government website is pretty confusing.
