medical examinations

Can anyone advise me on the medical process, I have a medical condition for which I had surgery as a child, I have passed the condition on to all of my children 2 have already had the surgery (we live in the UK) and my youngest will need to have it in approx 5 years time, we are not dependant on any medical help for the condition once the surgery is over, however my son has hearing loss for which he wears hearing aids.
My parents, siblings and many more extended family members live in Canada and have done for many years, we would really like to join them now but I'm worried about putting in an application if we will be unlikely to pass a medical, would like to hear anyones views on it.

There is no harm in trial is it just a 12 months process

Medical exam requirements for permanent residents
You must pass a medical examination before coming to Canada.
Your dependants must also pass a medical examination even if they are not coming with you.

Applications for permanent residence will not be accepted if that person’s health:
1) is a danger to public health or safety; or
2) would cause excessive demand on health or social services in Canada.

If you feel you don't come under points 1 & 2 above, you are safe.
