My fiancee and I are getting married in the next few weeks so we're beginning to look at spousal visa application. We're a bit confused on the medical examination. On the outland application regarding medical examination it says - "You and all your family members who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents must fill out Appendix C and undergo and pass a medical examination, whether they will be joining you in Canada or not."
I'm assuming that means dependent children? Since there's none she would be the only one getting the exam? Also does she need to get some sort of paper to do a medical exam? I was under the impression that we need to send the report along with the application.
To do the exam, you normally have to bring your passport, some immigration size photos (how many depends on the DMP, ask), Appendix C filled out, and the medical fee.
When her medical is done, her DMP should give her a slip of paper: copy 2 of Medical Report Section A (IMM1017). This won't contain her medical results, but rather all the information her visa office will need to request her results from the regional medical center when they need to review them. Send this in as part of your complete application when you submit it to Mississauga.

yes you're right it means dependent children and she's the only one who's gonna get this exam, she should fill the appendix C and the needed number -and specification- of photos, a photocopy of the passport
after doing the medicals, the doctor will give her a paper that you're gonna send it with the whole package
i wish you best luck
and congratulations
