Hello to all members on this forum! Here is my situation:On December 2013 I did my medical exam as a temporary worker and I passed the medical exam succesfully.
Now, I am being sponsored from my common law partner and we are going to send our application this week. Today I called the doctor who did my previous exam in order to arrange a new appointment but he told me I don't have to re do a medical exam because the previous exam was sufficient....
Is that true? I thought I had to do another one for family sponsorship. If anybody knows I would really appreciate a reply

Your medical exam is valid for 12 months - until December 2014. You don't have to do a new one but you need a receipt from the doctor that you had a medical exam. You have to send some kind of proof to CIC. If your process takes longer than until December 2014 CIC might ask you to do another medical exam.
Thank you very much for your reply, I have the previous receipt from the doctor. You made my day because I don't have to spend another 250euro for a new medical and tomorrow I finally can send my application!
