I am required to do a medical exam for a workers permit, but because I am currently not living in my home country, can I still do the medical exam in a non-resident country? For example, if I was on holidays to Japan, but I do not live in Japan, can I make an appointment in a Tokyo hospital, even though I am only visiting Japan? Only asking because an employer needs results ASAP and I don't return home for another couple of weeks.
Do not think there is any specific instruction that says you need to have a medical in your home country as long as your medical is carried out by an official IRCC panel physician, see links below. Of course if only in Japan for a short time you might need to search for a physician who has available appointments before you leave plus of course check the cost.
