My husband (Brazilian) is waiting for his PR application to be approved, however his visitor visa will expire in July 2014. He has already applied for a visa extension while he waits for PR. Today they told him his visa will be granted upon a medical exam. I am wondering if after this medical exam, if he will still have to do one for his PR? And if so, is there a way to kill 2 birds with one stone? For ex. Is it possible to get 2 copies of the report and save one for the future if needed for his PR?

PR application and TRV(visit visa) are different process. If his medical is now asked for visit visa, he need to get a medical for PR separately, when requested by visa office. Copy of medical report will not be be accepted by CIC.
I know that they are different processes. However they use the exact same form from CIC. I thought I could ask the Doctor for a copy of the results as well as have him fill out the 2 forms.
