I have applied online for an open work permit a week back based on my wife's closed work permit. My wife has work permit for 2 years and am expecting same duration for my open work permit. Its written on CIC site that in case of Online Application submit without any notification from their side i should not send any document to CIC. Now since validity of my visa would be more than an year and i would need to go for a Medical Exam, so should i wait for CIC notification and then go for the medical OR should i just go for the Medical Exam without waiting for the notification?

Please help. Thanks a ton in advance.
