I'm applying for PR along with my two children. Myself and my son live in the UAE, my daughter (15) lives in the UK. We are all British passport holders.
I'm filling in my application forms but have hit a stumbling block with the medical.
My Dad has tried to make an appointment for a medical for my daughter in the UK and has been told that I need to submit our applications first and wait to be told by CIC when to go for a medical.
Does this sound correct?

Then you and your dependents should be able to do upfront Medical Examination. Explain to the PP that your daughter needs to do an Upfront Medical Examination.
You will also need Police Clearance Certificates for yourself from each country where you have lived for more then 6 months since the age of 18. That process can take time. Keep in mind that Medical Examination is valid for 1 year. If your application is not processed/finalized before the expiry of medical Examination then all of you will need to do it again. I suggest that you gather and obtain all the documents and then go for Medical Examination. It does not take long for Medical Examination.
Make sure that you use the most current forms when you submit your application (This is a common mistake many applicants make).
