Currently I am a medical claims examiner for one of the biggest health insurance in the USA, I am currently finishing school as Database Administrator. When I come to Calgary.. for the meantime, i would like to find a position doing examining. I heard that you need to have a license for medical examining..is that correct?
In Quebec you need a license of an insurance broker/agent to perform claims examiner job. It can be gained by following a 10-month college course and sitting exams by the AMF. Job prospects are very good.
I assume Alberta has a similar policy. This job advert will give you an idea of requirements
