Maternity Leaving one month before get the 1 year of experience

Hello, I have this question:

My wife should get the One-Year of skilled work experience (usinga post-graduate work permit), however she got pregnant months ago. And our baby born in November, one month before she would get the 1 year. She will back to her job on March, so if we want to create her profile for EE, we should count those months of maternity leaving for the CEC??? or what should be do? wait until April to submit the profile?

1. IMHO, No as she was not working, I assume she was collect EI maternity benefits.
