I have a friend overseas who is thinking of coming to Canada as an international student (in hopes of qualifying for a PR after studying and later working on PGWP), and has asked me about some recommendation in terms of where to study/live.
Seeking some recommendations from those who have gone down this path (Masters in Computer Science) - what would be a good Uni with reasonable fees for international students and at the same time cost of living wont be crazy ..i.e. anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area wouldn't work - but maybe up north in Ontario, or Alberta, Saskatchewan or even the Atlantic provinces.

What is reasonable to your friend since first year tuition must be paid and then show minimum $20k. Start with Memorial, Dal, UNB, U of M, U of A…all have housing shortages.
