I am a landed permanent resident. My partner has submitted documents few months ago and awaits PPR. We are not married yet. Original plan was for her to land and for us to get married few months after. Since processing is delayed, I wanted to clarify one thing.
If she receives COPR and gets married to a permanent resident before landing, can she inform ircc about the change? Will they issue a fresh COPR? Or will they be worried that a person with COPR has married a permanent resident?
What's the better approach? landing and getting married after? Or getting married, informing ircc and seeking fresh COPR?
