I'm from India, and my girlfriend is a Mexican national and lives in Mexico. We have known each other for 2 years now. I have visited Mexico many times in the past with a U.S business/tourist B1/B2 visa.
**I have applied for a Canadian PR and may receive it in a couple of months. The PR application is in the final stages.
Once I get my Canada PR and go there and find a job, can I marry my girlfriend and bring her to Canada ? Are there any restrictions for a person with a newly obtained Canada PR to marry a Mexican national and bring her to Canada ?
Please advise on this.
*In the meantime, I'm also applying for jobs in Mexico as a backup plan.
There is no issue with you marrying her after you get PR and then sponsoring her to come to Canada.
As a PR, you must be living in Canada at the time you apply to sponsor her and must continue living in Canada while her application is process. Occasional short (2-3 week) trips outside of Canada are OK - anything longer and you risk the application being refused. There's a good chance she will be refused if she tries to apply for a visitor visa - which means she may have to remain in Mexico while her PR application is processed.

I think you mean Mexicans don't need a visa to enter Canada, if they are visiting as a tourist/business, right ?
But if a Mexican is married to a Permanent Resident of Canada, then what would be the case ?

You mean if she has an eTA, she can come and live with me in Canada, without the need to apply for a visa ?
So I don't have to sponsor her for a permit/visa ?

I mean she can get an eTA and visit canada up to 6 months just like any other tourist from Mexico.
She cannot work and cannot stay here permanently.
To do that, you have to sponsor her for PR.
