Marriage Status mistake with PR

I have a PR. I accidentally set my marriage status to single, even though I was married (I did not have proof of marriage at the time). Is it possible to fix this, now that I finally have a certificate? The PR issue date is after the marriage date in the certificate. I genuinely thought that you needed a certificate of marriage if you want to legally say that you are married.

Change the status for what purpose?

As long as you don't want to sponsor your spouse, you're fine.

If you do want to sponsor your spouse, you can't.

It actually specifies that you need to inform IRCC about any changes to your family composition to prevent exactly this situation. Sadly you no longer qualify to sponsor your spouse.

Were you married when you land as a PR with your COPR?
According to your post, your landing date is after your marriage date in the marriage certificate. So you have misrepresented in your landing process.
You SHOULD have informed IRCC BEFORE your landing and added your spouse to the application.

New COPR would have been issued to both of you for landing. (Before that, medical, police and background for your spouse before approval and new visas)

It's too late now. You can NOT sponsor your spouse. She/he needs to immigrate on his/her own.
