Hi there; Long - time lurker here!

Thank the heavens for such an amazing forum and supportive community! ;D

I was just wondering if I can get some advice and clarification on the situation:

My overseas girlfriend of 2 years will be coming here to Canada on a 1 year student visa. From what we gathered, she can apply for a post grad work permit of 8-12 months term after her graduation. I myself am a Canadian citizen.

We want to be together and both have talked about marriage after she arrives.

Can someone provide some advice about:

1) I am concerned that our application for Spouse sponsorship later on will be reflected badly upon because we married a few short months after her arrival into Canada (especially as she didn't indicate this on her student visa application ! ). So is there is there an "optimal" time for us to marry?
2a) are there benefits to applying immediately for spouse sponsorship when she still has so much time left on her student visa/graduate work permit or should we wait a until she is on the last few months of her post grad work permit before applying?
2b) and if her student visa/work permit expires after we have first submitted our application (not passed the first stage), what then? can she still apply for extension as a visitor or for work permit? or can she only just sit at home and do nothing??
3) Does applying inland/out land factor into this situation ? (she has no real desires/needs to leave the country - she just wants to work)

Thank you again for any feedback or thoughts! We just want to make sure we are doing things the right way and in the right order/timing.
