No. Your "Serbian" divorce is valid in Canada as long as it is valid in Serbia.

What I ment was that divorce LAW and property law are different and if a property is in Canada , Serbia is not able to impose Serbian court decision on the property in Canada.

So if we divorce in Serbia, the divorce is not valid in Canada. That does not make sense. How's the marriage from Serbia recognized in Canada?

As your ex-spouse was resident in Serbia and applied for divorce there, it is valid in Canada.
