Marriage Extract - India

Hi all,

I'm sponsoring PR for my wife who lives in India.
I submitted a True extract of hindu marriage register kept by the marriage registrar office issued by Govt of Tamil Nadu in place of the marriage certificate and got a request from IRCC to submit the marriage certificate. I'm wondering if there is anyone who got through with this issue.

As I enquired, in the State of Tamil Nadu, if the marriage was registered under The Hindu Marriage Act, you will not be provided with a certificate with the photos attached. Rather a very detailed extract of the register will be provided.

My application was returned for the same reason. Looks like we have to apply under Tamil Nadu form 1 for the Form III certificate with photos. It's a complicated process.

We registered our marriage in Tamil Nadu under two different acts (Hindu and Tamil nadu marriage act I belive), one came with photographs and other doesn't with photographs. I submitted marriage certificates with photographs and CIC accepted it.
